Introduction of the department.

○ Overview of the department.

Smart Factory means "a place with smart production facilities". In British English, smarts are often used in the sense of "advanced," so it can be described as high-end production facilities. Our department deals with key technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, 3D printers, and robots representing the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution to foster basic technology and ability to dominate industrial situations.The Smart Factory Division of our school is the previously known as the Mechatronics Division, which was newly established in 1997 after its opening in March 1950, and will be newly launched in March 2022 reflecting the spirit of the era along with students, parents, faculty, and 30,000 alumni' in the hope that our school will advance.It aims to cultivate promising students who will achieve self-realization and contribute to our community with sustainable technology and smart technology.

The logo above contains the meaning of wishing that students of the smart factory department will fly to the stage of the world with intellectual intelligence, emotion intelligence, and technology.

○ Department's image color

Orange is a mixture of red that stands for a passionate spirit and yellow that stands for a cheerful and academic spirit. This means creative talent and symbolizes a warm heart, self-esteem, and intuition.

 

 

The goal of education

 

○ Based on knowledge about robots, AI, IoT, big data, virtual reality, 3D printers, and programming technologies, it fosters smart factory technology students with well built basic skills.

○ It fosters competent skillful students who can utilize smart technologies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution.

○ Based on the good character, it fosters creative smart factory technology students who are interested in smart factory technology and can solve problems on their own.

 

 

 

The pride of Smart Factory

 

○The biggest pride of the smart factory department is...
First, We are with teachers who does their best to constantly improve their skills and knowledge.
Second, there are practice rooms and equipment to acquire smart technologies. And also there is an environment where students can encourage technical activities and expand their technical perspectives.
Third, we encourage students' self-directed activities while helping them implement their technical ideas in real life.
Fourth, by establishing a cooperative system with excellent institutions in the local and regional area, students can strengthen their vocational competence and promote hands-on experience.

Fifth, supervising teachers are assigned to each student to consult on school life, study, and career issues. In addition, it improves the satisfaction of the education with our department by organizing and operating a follow-up service management program for graduates.
